"Drowning" is out and I dunno about you guys but I love it!! It's got that backstreet vibe written all ova it!! I had downloaded it, so it wasn't new for me, but I was surprised about the Enhanced Video bit on it. This is only on the Maxi Single, so if you haven't bought that one yet, and you have a cd-rom, go and get it cause it's a video that features bits of performances from their "Around the world" tour to "Shape of my heart". Nice job guys!!!!!

The new single "Drowning" is about to be released. Many of you have probably heard it already on your radio station, and I personally have to say...It Is Awesum!!!! It's Backstreet all ova again, the boys have done a gr8 job and you can just hear how much they have grwon over the last year.Go and buy it as soon as it's out in your local music store !!!!!!
Tentative date for "Drowning" video release: October 15
The release date for "Chapter 1", the new CD with the greatest hits from the last decade which they guys have been together has been pushed back to October 30.

On Sept 6th it was time again for another big Event: The VMA's 2001!! The Boys had their own show to play that night, so they couldbn't perform, but they made an appearance anouncing the first award of the night. After that they had to fly out!

Backstreet.net is BACK!!
Okay....I know this might be very old news to some of ya, but I just recently ( as in today *lol*) found out that Backstreet.net is up and running again. In case some old visiters of this site didn't know...well, out fave site is back again...and for the ones who have no idea what this site is about..check it out at http://www.backstreet.net It is ONLY the best Backstreet Site around!!!!!
Also, the Tourdates have been changed. But don't worry, you can keep the tickets, cause that's all it is, a change of dates. But I bet you can almost get into any concert now, cause I doubt the guys who check the tickets will look at the right data, but anyways.....go check out www.backstreet.net or www.backstreet.com for an update on the Tour. AJ in rehab
On the 12th of July the news came out on AJ being in rehab, for alcohol abuse, depression and anxiety. Fans all over the world were shocked by this news, including me. I knew AJ had been having an alcohol-problem, but to found out that he had collapsed still was some news I hadn't expected. The boys have now postphoned the tour. They will start it on August 7th, and some dates are rescheduled in September. To read more about this news click here.

O-Town
Some news on my site...as you migth have noticed, I added an O-Town link!!Reason?....I just like them so much. They haven't released anything in Europe yet (So thank God for Gnotella :-p ) ,and only have been to the UK for a visit. But their TeeVee serie was on here, on Belgian TV. I started following it, just 'cause I was curious, but was hooked on it after episode one. Serie 1 has just ended here, and I am SO hoping that they will be showing serie 2 soon!! Anyways, I am now keeping a very close eye on these 5 cutees, cause I plan to go and meet the guys as soon as they set foot on Dutch ground :p . As soon as that happens, I'll offcourse let you guys known all about it, pictures included. But it probably won't be very soon, since they have planned a visit in the UK, but not untill October....guessing they will cover more of Europe then, I'm still gonna have to wait a while. Till then, I'm just checking out recordstores all over to see if the album is out here allready. Keep checking in for some O-Town updates. (PS...I know that the BaXX aren't to thrilled about O-Town, with the tv-serie showing a different reality from what they went through in their very early "Lou Pearlman"days....but I don't have their experience, so I can't judge the group on that, and so far, I still like them! (O-Town that is))
All quiet at Da BaXX Front
Hoping there will be some tournews for Europe, really very soon now....I keep checking out Inet-Sites and TV etc....but it is just all quiet at the BaXX front. And to top all of that...the biggest Inet site, which I checked every other day, shut down. Http://www.backstreet.net is NO MORE..which really sucks bigtime. It was a huge information source, and now I gotta search harder for stuff. I also keep hoping that Http://www.backstreet.com might finally become a REAL homepage, but untill now, it is CRAP!! I doubt it that I am the only one who feels this way. It has no cool info at all, and news is out before they announce it, if they even do that. So, still hoping to find some mysterious dream-site with the ultimate Backstreetguide :-p If I find one, I'll let ya know.

Tour plans 4 Ausie and Japan

THE Backstreet Boys are planning an Australian tour in November. The Herald Sun has learned a Backstreet Boys tour is "80 per cent confirmed" as the band waits to finalise dates in Japan. Industry sources say when those dates are locked in, the group will announce performances in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane."Backstreet Boys are very strongly rumored to be touring in November," concert promoter Michael Chugg said yesterday.An official announcement, expected soon, spells the end of a long wait for BSB Australian fans. Zomba Records promotions manager Sally Power said the BSB tour was 80 per cent confirmed for dates in November."That is all anybody knows at this stage," Ms Power said.The band's management company, The Firm, of Los Angeles, says tour talks are in progress with local promoters.Chugg said the Japanese tour calendar may have a slight influence on acts adding Australia to their schedule.
Living in Holland, Europe, I am checkinh every source I can come up with, for any tourdates planned in Europe. As soon as I know any, I will let you guys know immediatly!!!

BsB splitting up???
Okay, you probably all heard the rumours about the boys splitting up. Also in Holland, DJ's at Radiostations are trying to upset fans by saying that it is official "after this world-tour the band is splitting up!" This news is only based on news in some english Tabloids. Be honoust, the Backstreet Boys are professional enough, not to let some wack tabloid magazine bring out big news like this. If anything like this would happen, then they would probably organise an official press-confrence in which they would anounce the news to fans all around the world.
Before I go on, I have to say that it pisses me off to hear how VeeJays and DeeJays bring this news. They make fun of the fans who might get upset and just mock the whole thing. I just don't get it. I thought we were finally at a point where professionals in the music industry realised that the BaXX are not just another average Boyband. Haven't they prooved by now, that they are also professionals in this bussiness and that they are serious artists, who work their asses off, who want to make gr8 music and who give amazing shows that blow you away. People were finally saying that the BaXX were allright, but now when it comes down to it, they turn against them again.
I guess, as an artist, if you don't get arrested for violence or drug-abuse, you dont swear on your songs *like Will Smith said: "Do me one favour,...and write one verse without a curse!"*, you don't behave like an ass-hole in public, you don't treat your fans like shit, you don't stand on stage like some idiot trying to be cool by just waving your arms up and down looking like you have some spasem or something, ....then...I guess....you are not accepted.
Call me weird, but I thought being a gr8 artist was about making good music and putting on gr8 shows for your fans....guess I was wrong, so call me stupid, but.....I ......just.....Don't ...Get...IT!!!
Anyways, I couldn't stand it anymore and thought I'd give you guys an update on what's really going on. The storie is, that the boys have allways said that they would like to stay a group for a very long time. They have allways called names like the Bee Gees and Bon Jovi, which are bands who, after all these years, are still going strong. Just like these bands, after this WorldTour, the BaXX wanna take a break in which they wanna concentrate on solo stuff. They all have their foundations which they put a lot of work in, and offcourse Nick has his own band Chaotic, which he manages...and AJ is allready doing his solo stuff with Johny No Name. After 8 years it is very understandeble that the boys want a break.
So, after this World Tour, the boys will be doing their own thing for a while. But that doesn't mean that they are splitting up. After some time, they will be doing things as a group again. So don't go crazy, but be cool and respect their decision. Amagin yourself, doing the same thing for 8 years, wouldn't you wanna have a little break? It's is probably all for the better, because you can bet your *** that they will be all fresh an full of wild new ideas again, once they decide to pick up where they left off!
So, let's not go mad, but let's Keep The Backstreet Pride Alive by just putting it on Pause!!!!
