MY TIMES WITH THE BOYS

1998

February 6th

Dortmund-Germany

We went to the Bravo Super Show in Dortmund. We thought the show was pretty bad. Too many unknown German bands for us and when the BaXX finally came, their opening got screwed up. To make it worse, AJ was sick so didn't perform....and on top off all off that...Brian had the WORST hairday EVER. Oh My God. It was like he had put his head in a bucket of oil or something. If you looked close you could see the reflecting of yaself in it. Ieuw!!!!!

March 21st, 22nd

London-UK

The boys were taking their tour to the UK and offcourse, that's also where we went. We didn't have tickets yet for the shows but that probably wouldn't be a problem. Nope. 'Cause when ya go to see these Boys, number one at the list is allways: finding their Hotel. As soon as we arrived at Heathrow, we phoned our m8 who had gone to the UK earlier and she told us where the BaXX were at. We went there straight away and because we had out bags with us (God, what a Girl needs when she goes to meet the BaXX..gives ya a hernia carrying it all around) security didn't even look at us as we went in the Hotel. After waiting a few Hours in the Lobby, we started spotting the BG's and the band got in their bus one by one. There were hardly any fans in the lobby and since it had been a few months since we'd met them, we were getting a bit nervouse ("I gotta pie...I gotta pie....but if I go I'll miss them...I gotta pie...I gotta pie"). It's just the worst moment: when you know they can come down and show their pretty faces any moment and the tention that goes with it. Knowing that you could get to meet them, or they could just rush through or even worse, use some door that you don't know about.

We tried to keep calm when we saw Kevin comming around the corner walking straight at us looking So Incredibly Sexy. "Drewl Allert" OhMyGod!!! He had the Sexiest Haircut ever and his outfit....Hubba Hubba...*grin* AJ was with him also but us being Mr SexOnLegs Magnets, went straight to Kevin and got our pixie taken with him. Offcourse he did the 'Rubbing Ya Back' thing again and it doesn't matter how many times you've experienced a "Kevin Rub" *lol*, believe me, you can never get enough off those :-p. Cee had enough sence to go to AJ for a pixie while I was busy with Brian-Spotting. He came downstairs with Nick. (one off the four worst combinations...1: Brian and Kevin together  2: Brian and Nick together 3: Kevin and Nick together  4: a girls worst nightmare; Brian And Nick And Kevin together..........I mean..who the H*ll do ya run...I mean....walk to....?? and do you have enough time to go to the other guys....Deffinetly A Big Problem!!) I decided to go for some Brian-Action, since he is the hardest one to get close to. He was sweet but obviously tired. We both got a pixie with him and then just spend some minutes staring at Nick who had a pretty "Hot Look"day :-p

Me and Brian in the Lobby 21st March                                            Kevin, leaving, 22nd March

As sooon as our guys had left we went to find ourselves an Hotel and then went straight to the venue. As I said, we didn't have tickets so we thought we'd go and check the Box Office. We didn't think we would get gr8 seats, as long as we could see the show. We asked if there were any tickets left and the lady said :"yes, but only the cheapest ones" We were like"okay, so that will be a 'Is that AJ?...or Howie??'-Concert, but then she showed us were the seats were. Believe it or not....they were right at the side off the stage, in first Ring. We kept it kewl and were like, well, okay then, we'll take them. And as soon as we were outside we did a little dance. hehehe. We have the same seats in Holland...and they call them "Restricted view-Seats" only because you don't have get to see the front off the stage. Restricted view my *ss...gheghe.

As soon as we got inside we  saw that our seats were also on the front row...so we were SO ready to Party Party Aaron style :-P  No need to say that it was a gr8 show. We had a lot of contact with the ladz. We had a dutch flag with us (gotta let them know where ya from right :-)  and Brian gave "Anywhere for you"a whole new meaning to us when he sang a few lines to us....sweet huh! Howie even gave Cee one of his compulsive "Winky Winky's" and the look on Cee's face...whehe...You Go Girl....*grin* Anyway...to cut a long concert short...we had a blast. The next day we went to the Hotel again, but the crowd was bigger and there was security. We got in anyway but didn't get to see a whole lot, 'cause they left through a small corridor. Kevin looked fine though, and Brian was wearing an adorable spencer....(hmmm, the boy will probably grow a complex hearing us calling him sweet and adorbale, while he wants to be a MAN,YEAH!) We got tickets again to see a show that day. They had a show in the afternoon (very weird experience....)  which we went to and one in the evening, which we passed. And that was the end of another episode off 'Backstreet Girls Go Abroad'...hehe :-p

Some pixies of the show I took in "London Baby"

April 2nd, 3rd

Amsterdam-Holland

We had just developped our pixies from London when the Boys were in Holland again. Same Tour, Same Show, but.......not the Same Hotel as they had the last time in Holland. We had been busy trying to figure out where they would be staying, but after loadza calls and puzzling, we were not 100% sure which Hotel they would be at. Figuring that , since we didn't know the Hotel, then almost nobody would.......that would mean being one of the very few fans there if ya DID get to find it. So, using our so very creative *yeah right* minds, we got our m8 in Sweden to give us a call as soon as the boys left. Thinking "offcourse they'll come flying to Holland from Sweden", we were at the airport, with, like, 50 other girsl. :-/  Lucky for us, our Swedish m8 was a sweety and she phoned us, telling us that the boys had left.............but by Bus!! The proof that you can just never predict any Backstreet Action. WE'RE THEY MAD???? It was an 'How Many Hours Did You Say????- Drive' from Sweden.  Now, following a bus from the airport is one thing, but they just screwed up that plan very nice, thank you. Now, us, being totally mad and having No life AT ALL....grabbed the roadmap and decided to wait for the bus near the Highway....hoping they would take the route we'd planned. After we had waited at a gasstation for a couple of hours, we decided to get something to eat there. I kept an eye on the road but turned when Cee asked me something about an icecream she had in her hands. I turned around again and almost got an Heartattack 'cause I saw the EuroTour bus flash by...I went "FUCK!!!" and ran out the store towards the car, which, offcourse, was as far away as it could possibly be. Cee saw me run out and got a pretty good idea of what had happend. She ran outside, just to ran back inside, threw the icecream back (what an honoust girl...she hadn't paid for it yet..gheghegh) and ran back out again. Now, Girls, if you ever need a good reason to start exercising...This is a good one 'cause we were already exhausted halfway. Once we got in the car we raced like mad and got up with the bus. We passed it to make sure it was them and the face on Bowie's face (that's how we call the driver off the band's bus) was so kewl. He was like..."what the h*ll??..where did you come from" hehehe)

"Frick" getting of the bus, saying "Helloooow":-)        Bri comming back from playing B-Ball                Howie getting back from clubbing

Anyways. We got to the Hotel and there were two cravens there (how lucky can ya get to just happened to have picked the right hotel) and like, 3 girls inside. It was so relaxed. That night we met them a few times. Brian went to play some B-Ball and Kevin decided to get himself some Italian food in a little place at the corner of the street. He needed to get some money and wanted some directions where he had to go. Tommy, from the band, asked us if we knew where the Banana-Bar was. I almost wet my pants for that one....Imagine...Tommy, Banana's and Girls....HELLO: "IEUW!!!"..hahaha... Andre wanted to know the way to the Bus. Conrad had parced it near the station and the poor boy didn't know how to get there. 'Course being so sweet as we are, we helped him out. He's a nice guy....really to bad that he isn't with them anymore. The next day the crowd started growing slowly. It wasn't much fun anymore. To many girls there and only 5 Backies. When they left for their first concert in Arnhem, we followed them to the venue. When we were almost there, they stopped at a MacDee's, so we got to take some pixies there. There was this guy with them from some magazine, and he got AJ to pose with Ronald McDonald...check out the pixie below...that was kinda funny. We didn't really get to meat them anymore the next two days, besides one picture with AJ. They went and came...and came and went.

Kevin, leaving for their first concert in Arnhem                AJ and Mr Ronald McDonald himself :-p

The two shows they gave in Arhem were okay, but that venue just sucks bigtime. You hear everything, like, three times..like 3D-sound..  So we were happy that they would also do that show two times in Belgium, in a much smaller venue!!

So, we followed the boys as they left for Belgium. It was us and about 15 other cars...:-/ Fan-Hell.

April 4th, 5th

Brussels-Belgium

When we arrived in Belgium, we found out that the boys were staying at a diffrent Hotel as they did the last time. It was an expensive one and the vibe wasn't that kewl. The guys had to walk a ong way though to get to the Hotel, so that was kinda nice. Only the first time though. When they left for the show in the afternoon, Conrad parced the bus right in front of the entrence and the day after that, they left through a side-entrence. So we did not get to se much Backstreet action. But the shows were gr8. We got in for free with the second show in Gent. Some guy, (I think he was new in the business, 'cause he was very young and stuff,) who worked for a magazine asked us for a ride. In return for that, he gave us backstage passes, which was pretty kewl!!! We couldnt keep them :-( 'cause he needed them for other people, but hey, we got in!! :-) We got to stand in the first section so we had a nice view:-))

The next day, the boys were leaving for Luxembourg. We sneaked inside the Hotel and waited for the boys to leave. It all happened very fast, but I managed to get to Brian and tell him "Hi"again, and "your concert was gr8 again"..or something like that..I dont exactly remember. I DO remember the Oh So Very Sweet smile he gave me and the recognision in his eyes. His Bodyguard was pushing him to walk, but he made my morning anyways with that short moment :-p

Brian and Cee, comming dow the steps................and me and Brian (thx to Fiona and Layly for those pixies:-) )

AND THE STORIE CONTINUES: 1999
